This is the first edition/first printing (this set was never reprinted) of the Dutch translation The Lord of the Ring, the very first translation in the world. Three hardback with dustjackets designed by Cees Kelfkens. Only 3000 sets were printed, making this even more rare than the first British edition (yet a lot more affordable). Includes both maps. Antiquarian: very good condition (the books are in fine condition, with sharp colours and tight binding. Part 1 has some stains on the front and bottom of the book block, owner's name on the flyleaves, the dustjackets have some wear at the edges and some paper loss at the bottom of the spines. Spines dustjackets a bit worn). Includes both maps.*
